Shadow War: Armageddon
Games Workshops latest stand alone box Shadow War: Armageddon, a perfect game for those who want to start something new and for those with a Necromunda shaped hole in their lives. Set on the industrial planet of Armageddon where all the war material for the Imperial Armies is produced. The planet is at perpetual war with raids of Orks plundering the planets hive cities, lead by Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka. Beyond the colossal armies wreaking havoc with billion-strong hordes, there are small skirmishes happening over the Promethium Sprawl; Space Marine Scouts hunt down mobs of Ork boyz set on claiming Armageddons numerous bounties for themselves.
Within the box you will find everything you need to get stuck right into Shadow War: Armageddon — full rules, 64 counters, 3 templates, 7 dice (including scatter and artillery). There is also the models of course: 5 space marine scouts with boltguns, 5 space marine scouts with snipers, 10 Ork Boyz and one Ork Nob. Each unit comes with lots of customisation weaponry. Chaos Battletome: Blades of Khorne
With great success of the Disciples of Tzeentch battletome, it’s only fair that the brawling, blood loving Khorne fanatics get one of their own. Inside you will find an array of warscroll battalions, warscrolls and even points meaning you can start planning your army straight from the Battletome. New rules have also been added to the new book, the Blood Tithe, where the more you kill (or have killed), the more blessings Khorne grains your army. Rumour has it that if you offer him enough blood and skulls he may grant you a Bloodthirster! Like always this Battletome comes with pages of fluff, artwork and models showcases.
What’s that? Is it a bird? Is it a plane… well sort of. It’s a giant Steampunk Skyship! The dwarves have pulled their heads out of the clouds to join in the fight over the mortal realms. The Kharadon Overlords have been rumoured to be out at some point over April with the new Battletome being shown in the latest White Dwarf.
If you haven’t seen the models yet, check out the newest White Dwarf, or head over to their website. The Overloads have massive Sky-ships that look like the perfect blend of blimp and boat. Dwarves attached to mechanical balloon jet packs and guns, guns and bigger guns! The Kharadons hosts a large arsenal of ranged weaponry from their Aetheric rifles to massive Aethermatic volley guns set of chewing through units with a bucket of bullets. Also on display is the close range weapons of the Dwarfs wielded by their mighty leaders such as the new Thunder Hammers… or Aethermight Hammers as the Kharadons call them.
The new Kharadon Overlords are a Steampunk wet dream, with great mechanical weaponry, hulking Sky-ships that look too heavy to fly, levitating sky wardens shooting around the battlefeild and even Dwarves with top hats and pistols in their beards! What more could you ask for? We look forward to seeing these in the next few weeks, keep your eyes on the skies!
